Mairead,
I worked at VFI '92-'96, graduated in '96.
Play in and with some of the bands I mentioned.
Just wondering what's happening in the campus band scene and at VFI these days.
You folks should do a where are they now kinda thing, since many former ND campus band musicians are still playing around, like:
- Ted Leo (of Chisel fame), of course
- Joe Cannon (Mr. Head, emiLy), lives and plays around Chicago alot with bands like The Afflictions, Check Engine, etc.
- Steve Sostak (Victoria's Real Secret, Sweep The Leg Johnny), not sure what he's up to right now, after Sweep he was playing with Joe in Check Engine
- Doug McKenna (George & The Freeks), lives in South Bend now (his wife's in Law School), plays around the open mics in bars and whatnot
And so on...
Again, once I get a bunch of campus band cassettes converted to CDs, I'll send VFI copies if you want. I have bother and The Cuba Five so far...
