1. Next Saturday, 2/8/03, there's going to be (unless something upsetting happens) a show at 913 Lawrence Street. Playing will be the Kinky Bootbeasts, Sh�ger in the R�w (ska-successors to the Skammunists, including two former 'nists), and The Royal They (not sure how they sound, but I know 3 of the guys. good musicians. Bucket (another former Skammunist ) is a phenomenol bassist. or at least he's good. you can email me for details, and i'll get them to you when i have them.

2. Hey Jesse, having had the discussion about expanding Mindset--art, writing, etc., I had an idea. What about expanding the "local bands" section to include bands from a larger area? I know a couple really good bands within an hour drive of campus (with one of which, my cousin's, i'm hoping to get to play a show with the bootbeasts and/or shuger) that could use the publicity. it would be cool to get those who visit mindset even more variety, give them things to do on wknds when no bands happen to be playing and there aren't any really good parties. let me know what you thing....you can reply here, or you have my email address. peace
