alright, here's my take. as far as im concerned, when people classify music in a genre, its okay. But when an emo band (or whatever, christian metal band in this case) claims to be "super hardcore" well that pisses me off. i agree with fishtail about this issue as far as im concerned,
you have to respect your roots... like in an interview with avril lavigne (sp?) when asked about the ramones? she was like ramones who? thats wrong. another thing that bothers me is people who say that they are straight edge. In my opinion, you cannot be straight edge unless you have tried the things that you are not doing (ex. smoked weed, drank, had sex) that way you can make a concious choice, instead of just saying you're "straight edge" just because you're too chicken to try it or whatever. Minor Threat was the shit, and if you dont know what im talking about, well go out and buy a CD.
