Thanks for your reply. I did have an AM-Cortisol test done in May (three months after stopping prednisone). It was 28 on a normal range of 6-29, and since cortisol is highest in the AM, my results were considered normal. None of my doctors attribute the facial hair (which they can't see in office lighting) or the loss of oil production to the prednisone, but I know that both of things happened suddenly while on the prednisone. Have your symptoms gone away within a year after stopping prednisone, or do you still need to trim the hairs and use a special moisturizer? Also, I'm confused about the "not shaving" thing. I thought that was an old wives tale?
