Kla,

I am glad to help in any way that I can! I want you to know that you are NOT ALONE! I understand what you are going through...as do the other members of this group!! We have all been there and many of us are still going through now too. THe emotional ups and downs with steroids are wicked...they are just as bad as the physical pain that steroids cause. Please know that you are NOT a hypochondriac...these things that are happening to your body are real! The steroids cause very strange reactions in a person...many of the side effects vary from person to person, which is why many docs have trouble understanding the severity with which they come. I am sorry that you are dealing with this alone out there. Having a doctor you don't trust is a horrible feeling, especially when you don't feel that you can change docs. I must tell you, though...I have 2 docs that I trust completely, but they tell me to find a wean schedule that works best for me, because everyone is so different. It is better then the doc telling you to just "drop drop drop". Please know that 3 mg of medrol is NOT a high dose...I'm sure you can stay on this dose until YOU feel stable. Don't rush it. Let your body HEAL!! YOU WILL STABILIZE!! If it takes a month, let it take that month. Your next drop will not be as severe if you are done withdrawing from the last. *I learned that one the HARD WAY*

*For your itchy feeling...do you take any antihystamine like benedryl? It may make you sleepy, but it is over the counter and works for the itchy/red feelings.

Much love/hugs/prayers!

Ivy
