Hey Ma,
Have you had a heart cath yet? Cardiologists can put stents in during a heart cath. That is a puncture in the artery of your groin- they do not open your chest and there are no stitches/incisions. Normal hospital time is an overnite stay. A cath has risks but is much less invasive than open heart surgery. Open heart surgery has come a long way and is much improved. I've seen my drs work wonders with patients. ( I work for open heart surgeons; I've also observed some surgeries.) You are alot like me: I left alot to be desired as a surgical pt and I didn't have a choice. My boss removed half my lung (with an incision that hurts more than open heart). I came through well- it was a GOD THING. I'll be praying for you and that you only need the cath. love ya becki
