That is really good news about the ANA. Usually a positive ANA means some kind of autoimmune process. I have a positve ANA, but I have several autoimmune diseases. That's a big load off your mind. Then I would say that your BOOP was definitely idiopathic. That's why I would not worry about a relapse. I think you are free and clear.

As far as your anxiety. I think you are doing the right thing about seeing a physchatrist. You need to get to the bottom of this. They may need to give you some different meds to help you through this. Since I have been dropping my steriods my anxiety has lessened. Now the other stuff has been harsh. I will NEVER go down my 2 mgs ever again. It is waaaay to much and it was really stupid. I am going to go like a turtle too the next time. Actually, I am going to wait a while before I reduce again to give my body time to get out of the shock I have driven it into. You are right - naughtly me for trying to go too fast. I have learned my lesson.

Let me know what the dr. says and if you need different meds then change them. My sister has anxiety disorder and it took her a couple of meds to find the right one, but now she is doing really well and functions normally. She did say though that she never has really highs or really lows. She stays pretty much even keel. Not bad, but sometimes it is fun to get really excited about something. She feels good and does whatever she wants. There is life after anxiety problems. Maybe the BOOP and the steroids just brought on the anxiety problem. You will get it solved. Just take one day at a time. If it makes you feel any better. My sister used to call my Mom to come sit with her while she took a shower because she got so anxious just showering. Now, like I said, she if doing great! It will come. Just give it time!
