I am glad you found this group...although I am sorry you had to! Please know that it will get better...even if it doesn't seem like it now! For me, Kenelog had the worst emotional side effects. It can take a while for the side effects to ease up, but they DO GET BETTER!!! Drink as much fluid as possible to help with any withdrawal pain you may have. Cutting back on sodium may help with swelling...light exercises and stretches can also be helpful to both lift mood and help with joint/muscle pain and any possible weakness you may have from the injection. Have your doc periodically check a cortisol level and ACTH level to see if you have full blown Cushing's or just the features...it can make a difference in how long it will take to reverse itself. The one thing I try to tell people on steroids is to BE KIND TO YOURSELF!!! The stress only creates more problems as stress creates more cortisol. I know that is much easier said then done, but anything you can do to relax will help!!
