UPDATE...Well doesn't this stink...my steroid-sparing drug Arava, the one we thought was working because my platelet count went down so much ISN'T working AT ALL! My numbers only went down because my prednisone was up to 80 mg :-P when my blood work was done...As I weaned down to 60 mg of prednisone (done slowly), I COMPLETELY flared up...even with the nerve medications on board. So far I have not had to bump up my prednisone, but I am assuming it is only a matter of time. I am taking extra nerve medication when I need it to open my throat when it closes, but then I get WICKED migraines (which I have now as I type this), so the trade of is less then ideal. Every flare up symptom has returned, the stomach symptoms, fainting 2x a day, racing heart, breathing problems, fevers, it's insane...but I am TRYING to let my body stabilize. I am praying that it will learn to like 60 mg of prednisone. lol. My Rheumatologist is calling in favors to neurologist/neuro-immunologist friends of his to see about getting me in to see one of them to discuss different treatment options (as if I have MS). I should hear from him today regarding that.

And to top it ALL OFF my grandmother has a MASSIVE tumor in her abdomin that needs to be removed ASAP...they think it may be cancer...it goes from her ovaries to her liver...the size of about a basketball...another 6 months and she would be dead...crazy...she is like a second mother to me, so the stress of all this is tearing me apart on top everything I am dealing with since my parents help take care of my grandparents. Our lives are all intermeshed...so are our stresses...Please throw in an extra prayer or two for them...we could all use some healing energies!!
