Subject: New & Needing Help

I just found the messgage board tonight & hope it will be lead me to some help. I've been on prednisone for 15 months for an eye problem. I started at 60 mg a day. I'm on another medication now for the eye problem, & slowly weaning off the prednisone.

These are the symptoms that I'm not sure are related to prednisone, but have no other explanation for them. Maybe some of you can tell me of they could be from the prednisone.

1.For months I've been having the worst muscle spasms I've ver had all over my body, even in my ribs. Two magnesium tablets at bedtime have greatly improved the muscle spasms, but not cured them.

2.Even a simple task like taking a shower is difficult now. My joints and muscles hurt SO bad by the time I'm done & feel so tired & I'm short of breath.

3. Since the last drop from 10 mg to 7.5 mg I have had terrible muscle pain and also much worse pain than usual in some herniated discs that I have. I have had fibromyalgia for years, but this muscle pain is worse than I have with Fibromyalgia.

I would greatly appreciate any input.

Thanks,
Shelly
