Subject: Too late for me

UGH...back up to 40 mg of pred for 5 days, then dropping back down to my "normal" 7mg. My throat closed and I my only options were to try the 40 mg of pred or to get solu-medrol. My pulmonologist told me that if I was anyone else, he would have wheeled me into the ER himself instead of letting me take my own meds and waiting it out (the hospital and docs office are in the same building). Luckily, my throat opened up after the usual 40-45 min of having taken the pred. I am just hoping that this continues to work so I won't have to go to the ER anyway and get the mega doses IV :-P I am TRYING to think positive, but it sure is HARD!!!
