Susie,

A few weeks after I got kenelog injections a few years ago for an asthma flare, I noticed a large lump in my breast. I freaked out and my ob/gyn ordered a mommogram and ultrasound, both of which came back normal. He also ran a blood test for my prolactin levels because I also noticed some discharge. When everything came back normal, but the lump was still there, he sent me to a breast oncologist. She took one look at my medical history, felt the lump and laughed, saying it was all from steroids. It seems it makes the glands swell and causes the lumpy feeling. It can also cause fat deposits in different places, such as the breast. She had me come back a few months later, and the lump was down. She told me not to worry if I get a boost of steroids, then feel a lump. Just to wait a little bit to see if it goes down on its own.

Try to take it easy...and try NOT to feel it all the time (which is what I did, driving myself crazy LOL). There is a very real possability that it is nothing, but definitely have a mammogram when your doc recommends!

Ivy
