Subject: Prayers PLEASE!!

I was hoping to write a Thanksgiving post about how greatful I am to be finally, after a long 2 years, getting back to ME! I look a whole heck of a lot more like myself (I have so far lost 10 lbs of cushing's fluid weight), and I feel almost "normal" (since there is no such thing as NORMAL NORMAL for me). I am still greatful for all of those things, but I am also scared out of my mind right now because I just heard on the news that there are massive brush fires to the north and west of me with the winds blowing in my direction. This is my worst trigger...it gets me every time, usually with horrible asthma flares that require either high doses of prednisone or solu-medrol in the hospital. Girls...I just don't think I can do this again...I am in a much healthier place right now, but the thought of going through that type of flare up scares the life out of me!! As soon as I heard the news I felt like I was going to throw up...my stomach flipped, my shoulders and back tensed up and I clenched my jaw. I called every agency I could think of to find out about air quality in my area and right now it is moderate, so in I stay, with my air purifier on medium/high. Just please keep me in your thoughts and prayers that I can stay strong and get through this latest test of my illness/meds.

I am mentally hugging all of you and wishing you the very best!!!

Love,

Ivy
