Hello Melissa and Welcome!
Everyone here can totally relate to what you are going through. I have finally, after attempting to wean off prednisone, gotten to 6.5 mgs as of yesterday. I woke up this morning with a bad case of nausea, that is the part I hate! I can't stand to vomit!!! I want to suggest the book Adrenal Fatigue by Dr. Wilson:

<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.adrenalfatigue.org/whatis.php">http://www.adrenalfatigue.org/whatis.php</a>

There are several supplements that he suggest to build up the adrenals. I have been taking them, and what a difference it has made in my taper!

We are all told if we get off the steroids, the cushing's will go away. I have lost 4 pounds in the past 2 weeks and my face looks a tiny bit smaller. My cheeks are huge...I look like a chipmunk! I hate it and I gained from 138 to 211 on this drug! The doctor says it will take 12 to 18 months for my symptoms to reverse themselves.

God luck and if we can help, let us know!

Judy
