Hi mom, thanks for posting. The whole point of the rant was that I found myself spending more and more time on the board arguing my points across. I still believe in argument and general discussion. But I found it was taking away from better things I could have devoted more time to (such as the adoption and maintaining both this web page and the Smith family page, plus the web site I am designing for John). I would have up to 3 liberal posters that I would have to reply to and sometimes I just did not have the time to reply to them all. I believe I held my own and got my point across but quite simply I just do not have the time to reply to every poster on that board. It did not mean that I lacked an argument, just time.



BTW, I do not consider you a liberal. A moderate democrat yes...but not a liberal. So when I have a "stupid liberal" rant, please do not take it personally.



Well I better get back to work. I love you mom and thank you for the words of encouragement. But as I said, I stopped posting not out of defeat, but out of making better use of my time. If that was not the case, I would not have written this rant and I sure as hell would not post a link to that board.

P.S. Just in case I do decide to post again to that board, if you decide to post a message yourself, please do not say you are my mom. I do not want any "momma's boy defending her son" accusations. :-)
