like you never brushed
fingers through my hair,
leaving my judgement impaired,
now wading in dispair,
wondering what's fair?
wanting you to declare your feelings,
revealing, are your games as they are
peeling away the decaying layers of hope
I was concealing,
as my heart was still beating,
unknowing that I was competing
for your glance,
a chance to be your true romance,
but it was just unbuttoned pants,
now apparent you merely craved lust,
while I handed you my trust,
and allow you to
use me if you must.
