Hey its okay!! You're entitled to your opinion of Singer, LOL!! I wish I could agree with you, but I don't. I won't miss NC one bit, I won't miss the character one bit, & even though there could've been better ways of handling Singer's demise, I'm not complaining that we are finally rid of not only Singer but NC as well. I just didn't think NC was a good actress, & I really feel that DJE is a much better actor when she wasn't around a la S2-4...that's JMVHO....as for Singer, well inside..... -- Dress Whites And Roses

I don't think JAG needs a bad guy per say. They didn't have one really up until Singer arrived. As much as I hated Mic (and still do please do not ever bring this character back LOL) Mic while I think he was bully and manipulative and controlling, wasn't a "bad" guy per say. Not all shows need a villian, and with the Palmer eps we got, Charlie Lynch, etc. I didn't see the need to have a so called "bad" guy at JAG.

My problem with Singer is that she never ever paid for any of her transgressions. Singer was disrespectful to Mac, Harm, Sturgis, all of who were her Senior Officers. She was disrespectful to AJ in Port Chicago, and AJ never called her on any of her actions. The pretending to be Jewish, the way she treated Harriet (with utter contempt) was just not a good Officer, and no way Singer should've been allowed to be a JAG as long as she was. I really didn't see the role as an addition, but a detraction.

Plus I am a Mac fan, no bones about it. I had a real problem last year when Singer's role exploded from 7-8 eps to 18 eps, and in a lot of these stories Singer had the bigger and better role than Mac did. It appeared to me that CB's airtime got diminished so NC's could flourish. Even Chuck Carrington (Tiner) commented about this to his fanclub, saying that Tiner's role suffered in S7 "due to the inclusion of Lt. Singer storylines." So, I cannot honestly say that Singer or NC will be missed, I am glad that the role has been dismissed so to speak from JAG.

I just hope its a start, and that DB continues to pare the cast down, and get back to basics.

But I do agree with you on the two new characters, which is why I hope NCIS is picked up by CBS, so these two will stay on this show and not be crammed into JAG. As for worrying about them to H&M, well they are both Junior Officers as well, so I don't think that will be an issue, it will be an issue of whose character suffers (probably Mac's) so these two can be incorporated into the stories and have their screentime.

Its great to have differing views, some are truly sad that Singer is gone, while some are cheering. I guess DB can take stock in the fact that fans care, and we do get wrapped up in our JAG, LOL!!!

I too am sorry that her charcter is gone. She was a great evil protaginist - also they had set her up for some good story lines w/ helping the mom&daughter to escape the abusive guy & with her conflict over the pregnancy- would have been interesting at least (NT) -- Sarah, 17:53:44 04/23/03 Wed
