Part One:
What If....9-11 Didn't Have to Happen?

My dreams told me**
what was coming

"A young man who grew up in North County and joined the Army in response to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks was one of two U.S. soldiers killed by mortar fire in Iraq last week."*

but

what if 9-11
didn't have to happen?

It's the Butterfly Effect
that, like creation insanity
will drive you mad
if you stop to think
about how his life
and 500 plus
other American lives
might have turned out
if there had been no 9-11

not to mention
their families
and loved ones,

not to mention global loss
and instability
that we, here in America
cannot and should not forget

Part Two:
Taking Back The White House

I feel good about November
with a new hope
in place
that we will take
back our country,
restore credibility
as well as respectability

in the eyes of the world

Part Three:
The *Right* Disciples

All the men in my life
are Republican
even my son
boasts an affiliation
to which I give
the look,
he takes on
a silent smile
that tells me
he is just teasing

I spend my time now
unemployed
trying to convert
the right wing
like a good hooker
turning gay men

Part Four:
America, The Beautiful

For three years now,
I have not been proud
to be an American

I am offended that because I believe
in a different way
that I am told I am not patriotic
and do not support our troops
I have always supported our troops
even if they are blind-sided
as to why they are there

My late father received a Bronze Star in WWII
I come from a patriotic family and was raised as such

I have seen first hand how other nations,
who were once our friends, look at Americans,
post 9-11.

I am terror threat-weary;
tired of living reality fear factor
that is produced on a daily basis
by the Bush regime

I look forward to a day
when I am once again proud to be
an American

My hope is restored

**{from my dream journals-the first week in September, 2001}

There was a father and a son flying in what looked like an open airplane, like a crop duster. They crashed a total of four times. Each time, they were not hurt and the son got
out and restarted the engine, then they went back up but in an erratic manner until they crashed.

Two nights later, I dreamed of an explosion. I saw a large aircraft of some kind. There was only one person in it. He looked like he was dressed in light blue astronaut attire.
He waved good bye to people on the ground who were looking up. In the dream, I knew something was wrong and as I turned my head downward and closed my eyes, I heard the explosion.

Next Nite:
there was a plane suspended high in the air, another plane came and circled it several times, over and over and then there was just a fireball. total silence - just a roundish explosive fireball, red, blue, orange, black......
no sound, just fire in the sky.
