A very moving tribute Highlander, and it is refreshing to see a poem about 11 November, which remembers all the victims of such wars, soldiers and civilians. We should never forget them or we will continue to make the same mistakes. I was pleased to see so many children wearing their poppies with pride (despite the talk last year to stop them!) - and it prompted so many to ask 'why?'

The tone to this poem is very reflective, making the reader think about those words you have penned - they become so much more meaningful when you engage your reader's own intellect, and you have achieved this well and expressed the sense of loneliness and isolation.

Not sure about the word 'emptyless' - perhaps just 'empty' or 'like a vacuum'.

Great stuff my friend and good to see you round these parts again.
