No more do the aged seas
crash against the sand,
no more does the sun's ancient yellow
glow alight the infant face of morning

No more does the spirit wish to continue,
the soul is tired of fighting the advancing
armies that grief sends out; the blood is full
of the disease of loss, battling ghosts would be
futile at most, painful at least.

Her laugh was a string of tiny silver bells,
spilling from raspberry lips, lighting afire
behind bright and twinkling eyes; how the laughter
would leap from her! Like a butterfly from the necessary
cocoon, startled from the slender throat.

Come now, child, rest your head upon a sturdy shoulder,
the tears will mutiny if you ban them from their fall;
for the departed is somewhere among and past the stars, awaiting the arrival of those who now grieve, loving unconditionally, ad infinitum.
