Imaginary Turmoil

Humans are strange animals.
Even strange I should have to explain that.
I don't mean, "Oh, you animal,"
Or "What a bunch of animals,"
Or like animals, or sometimes like animals,
I mean we ARE animals, no choice,
And we are strange.

I've watched dogs bark as a warning,
Dogs willing to back it up with a bite.
I've watched other dogs bark and run away,
To continue incessant barking...
Still other dogs bark and dance around erratic,
Which is sort of weird, but cute I guess..
They are animals, but dogs,
Different animals.

I've watched cats beg for comfort,
Some purring then when petted.
And others who beg, then run like hell,
At any hand's approach...
Still others purr sometimes, and
Run away again later... and it's
Kind of cute I guess.
Cats, different animals.

I've seen fish with curiousity,
Squirrels scamper and chatter,
Birds preen, and cows stand their ground,
Ants who react to chaos and frustration.
I've seen a single celled "organism",
Seek out nutrition, and avoid danger.

A single cell! Can you imagine?
No brain like we know it, our brains have
Millions of cells, ours and dogs and
Cows and fish, etc... We are organisms
With actual organs.

Cellular colonies, stranger animals.
There are a lot of humans, and
They are on "TV", so I watch them a lot.
On TV, and on the "street", and
In the "supermarket".

The same instincts, survival and danger,
Deliberateness, and perseverance, and
Wants, and fear of those wants.
So that's not so strange,
As innocent as the rest...

But. well barking, continous barking...
So much they bark about barking about
Barking about barking about barking...
And so much made up about
Things that aren't real,
And so much turmoil about
Those same things... pressure and
Responsibilities about
Nothing.

But then, "Bow-wow-wow-wow-wow!!!"
They don't want to hear about that.
Strange.
