Subject: Finding Joy

Finding Joy

Why does feel better feel better?

If happy was our only motive,
Then chemical bliss would
Be perfection.

If self-satisfaction was our only motive,
Then ego-centrism would
Be sainthood.

Why do we do this?
What is our want?

Don't tell me you know,
Because someone told you,
They don't know, so neither do you.

Even so, so many criticize
The wondering.

So many rituals,
Cleaning the car,
Cutting the hair,
Compacting garbage,
Throwing a kiss...

Joy is on the end of your fingertips.
You have no fingers?
Joy is on the tip of your nose.
You have no nose?
Joy is on the edge of your eyelashes.
You cannot see?
Joy is on the edge of your ear.
You cannot hear?
Joy is behind your thoughts.
You have no thoughts?
Joy is licking your face.
You have no face?
Joy is that thing with no name
Calling you, something...
OK, not really calling...

Just come here.
