An enjoyable narrative tale with clever use of rhythm and rhyme. Made me smile :)

>There was a little blonde haired lad
>Who somehow changed from a red to a blue
>He was handsome just like his dad
>They went everywhere together as tho joined by glue
>
>He was born on a Thursday so they called him Matt ?
>As he got older he taught himself to swim
>Just around the corner was a lake with a surface so
>flat
>It was surrounded by trees so the light was always dim
>
>Now Matts parents warned him about the fast food thing
>They said fast food casts an eerie spell
>But Matt being Matt always did his own thing
>And what happened next, i am about to tell
>
>On the first day of his school holidays
>Matt felt the first pangs of a building hunger
>So he sloped off for a feast, never mind what anyone
>says
>His mind was set, it would be french fries and a burger
>
>Once there he stopped to study the menu
>And what he read nearly made him fall to the ground
>There on the board it said, buy one, get one free
>So he ordered and when it came it weighed over a pound
>
>His face was a picture as he thought of what was to
>come
>Two huge burgers and fries all covered in cheese
>He licked his lips and began to rub his tum
>when it was served he went weak at the knees
>
>Swiftly running out he stopped at a field
>There he sat next to a lake unable to be seen
>He thought the buns on the burgers were as big as a
>shield
>Quickly devouring the first one he licked his fingers
>clean
>
>But before he could start the second he felt a little
>funny
>Everywhere was dark and the wind began to blow
>It was strange and weird like a bee with no honey
>Then suddenly in the lake a light began to glow
>
>Brighter and brighter till everywhere was so white
>Matt heard a roll of thunder and slowly shut his eyes
>When he awoke he was wet and slimey and his head felt
>light
>He now had two webbed feet and muscular thighs
>
>Looking around from were he was sat
>He realised he was floating on a lily pad
>His head was hard and knurled like an old cricket bat
>Tears ran down his face because he felt so sad
>
>Some things you can laugh about but this was no joke
>Nothing felt right as he leapt from the water to a log
>He tried to shout for help but all he heard was a croak
>The little blonde haired boy was now an old green frog
>
>Many years went by and life was boring
>Each new day was as the one before
>His only pleasure in life was listening to the birds
>sing
>Altho now he could eat eight dragon flys a day instead
>of four
>
>Early one morning as he was snoozing on his pad
>A distant noise quickly made him sit up and listen
>Even a visit from another frog wouldn't be so bad
>This sound was different, it was a car engine
>
>The car stopped and he sensed someone close
>Footsteps slowly approached his lonely lake
>It was a princess and the scent of Gucci assailed his
>nose
>The sight that behold him was almost to much to take
>
>It was a vision of beauty with a long dark ponytail
>Her eyes sparkled and shone like diamonds in the sky
>She was playing a guitar with slender fingers and
>painted nails
>And singing a ballad with the voice of an angel from
>on high
>
>The frog had never witnessed such an impressive sight
>His heart began to race and he vowed to impress her
>He never noticed the glow in the lake began to grow
>bright
>Looking beyond the princess he saw her white charger
>was really a Ford Fiesta
>
>Magically she walked across the water to were he was
>sitting
>Taking the frog in her hand she raised him to her lips
>Gently kissing him, he felt his heart begin to sing
>She tasted of sweet wine, he thought between sips
>
>The light in the lake was now blindingly bright
>Thunder rolled and lightening flashed on the horizon
>Hurricane winds blew as day turned to night
>But the princess in his arms was the loveliest he'd
>set eyes upon
>
>With a crash and a bang the storm had passed
>He noticed he was changing to his very core
>The princess had saved him from his croaking lapse
>Slowly opening his eyes, he saw he was Matt, once more
