I also forgot to mention about the rhythm and rhyme giving it a steady, even flow.

The theme did have that 'subconscious' quality - words which made sense yet not on the page. I have written poems inspired by dreams in the past (although have to confess I have worried some people by them!) and I quite like the idea of taking poetry further mixing the conscious with the subconscious but then I did enjoy my psychology studies too. *smile*
