Yes like most others I am also moved by this poem of yours.
The horror of war is a subject i write about, but without any actual experience, ( Im glad to say).
I take it this was/is real for you. Which makes it even more moving.
I think, but hope not, that the poem suggests that you are still waiting for the silence. I can only imagine how difficult that must be.
