I particularly liked the imagery in the first stanza

'The stars are held
Fragile with static,
Like ashes on glass'

conveys a whole sense of associations to me.

Interesting last stanza too.

p.s. I liked the bits inbetween too but strong beginning and ending always work well. ;)
