That impish wreath that seemed bound in an eternal circumscription of her golden head like a strange halo became marginally more pronounced at his words. Her particularly facetious brand of humor, apparent only in the thin, periphery-forming shoreline of her black eyes, now leapt out of her throat and wound itself devilishly around her ensuing diction.

"Oh, no, of course I'm not talking about you and me. I'm talking about you and my invisible friend, Fred. He's a quite impressive rider and knows domestic horses with feral minds like nobody I've ever met. Who else?"

A sudden, short-lived chuckle and, "Yes, you and me. It should be an experience...two compulsive ex-racehorses running, for the most part, wild in the great outdoors. Hopefully we'll both make it back alive."
