He might as well have been rude to Oscar who would have quickly understood the situation and would have been quick to explain anything and everything. As it was, the man had to settle to answering the simplest of questions.

"We're not lost, I believe, unless this isn't Weatherbee Farm." He held out a hand. "My name's Oscar, and my friend's name is Katcha. We don't mean to intrude upon you, but you see, we were invited here - or at least, Katcha was and decided to drag me along - by friends of hers. Not really there place, I guess, but they recommended your farm so highly that Katcha felt that she just had to come." His eyes take on a twinkle as he continued- "While being dragged, I also came along to make sure she wasn't too much of a bother. So... might you have some room for a couple of stragglers and two horses?"
