After zipping her half-chaps and pulling back her blonde mane in a new hairnet, she gathered her Ashland saddle and bridle and Ella's standing martingale from her trunk, along with a pair of maroon polos.

The girth was new, having never been used before but once, and it took her a moment to adjust it. The front part of the martingale got tied in a knot while Zoe fiddled with her spurs, before she slipped the bit in the chestnut's soft mouth and proceeded to buckle and attatch.

Pausing only to pull her saddle pad forward slightly, she and the mare exited the barn and met Paula out in the yard. "Where shall we go?"
