"Good girl," he said to her, glad she didn't seem to mind. "Un moment." He went into the tack room, frowned as he saw the missing tack the thief had taken, but was glad he had plenty of extra. He grabbed a hackamore in case Maple wasn't used to a bit, a saddle, saddle pad, and bounce pad. He didn't know whether she needed a bounce pad, but better safe than sorry, he figured. He also picked up a girth. He took all of this toward her stall, and hung it all on the stall door, or put it on the floor. He then went back to the tack room to grab a tack box.
He let himself into the stall with a lead rope and halter. "Okay, girl. First, lets get you nice and clean." He slipped the halter over her head and clipped the lead rope to it. He slid open the stall door ("Excuse me, Snow White), and led Maple out to the cross-ties. He clipped her to them, and unclipped the lead rope. "All set, girl?" he asked her.
