Subject: Band News, Haircuts, Graduation and Pointless Bullshit

Well, I got a haircut today and only one inch of hair and my lack of a patch or tatoo keeps me from looking like the average Higgins Street trad-skin (whether this is good or bad is arguable to some, I'm only going to say that the one inch will increase)....wowee sign me up for the Marine Corps, Pappy, and buy me a Guinness(joking about the corps...the latter offer still stands. I need beer)! In news not vanity related, Darren McKee is our new drummer and he's damn good when we can get a decent practice going. He's fast as fuck and is excellent at what he does. We should be back to our old playing status by the middle of this summer, by which time Derek is moving to Arizona. FMZ is still going to play on with a new bassist, who is yet to be discovered. I'm fancying the idea of either Tim Arrowtop from UDA or Jerod Collins from Nerds With Instruments, who is so damn good he can play Matt Freeman (Operation Ivy, Rancid) bass parts....we'll see what happens. Derek, Zach and I will all be graudating from High School on June 8 which means goodbye childhood, hello real world. FUCK! Well I'm anticipating 4 years at UM and a job writing at the Bitterroot Star in the meantime, so maybe I'm set from the start...probably not. Derek is going to Arizona in July to go to a studio recording school and Zach seems to be seeking a university right now (most likely UM also, I believe). Zach is probably going to eat oatmeal regardless of where he goes, however. Kelly LaCroix (editor End of Transmission, member of band Noise Noise Noise) is trying to get a 6 band 5 city 3 day Montana tour going on this summer that should include the FMZ so look out for that. FMZ should also be playing a short set at the Ravalli County Battle of the Bands at the Hamilton Fairgrounds on the 25th...i'm going to a meeting at 7 saturday to get details. So now that I've discussed band news, haircuts and graduation it's time for pointless bullshit! so here goes. As of late, Dave Short of Nerds With Instruments has been pulling some bogus shit...he spray painted "ANARKY" on the back of my new car and then took a shit on the windshield to prove his "punkness". I was willing to let it slide but then he broke into my house, huffed my daddy's spray-paint and stole my coin-collection for smack money. It wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't have jerked off on my Social Distortion "Mommy's Little Monster" vinyl. Shawn and the NWI kids are backing him up on this bullshit, so I'm challenging Nerds With Instruments to a band on band fight. So how bout it?
