I walked by Hot Topic again the other day and it hit me- real inner mental anguish isn't nearly as user friendly and sugar-coated as the type sung about by Dashboard Confessional and sold by the Alterna-Gap. There is no silver lining of fashionable shirts and attractivity to the feeling that no matter what the fuck you do or what facade you project things won't get better. it's not like the emo songs with a happy chourus. it's one long, slow chaotic verse that only you can end one way or another. fuck emo. they have no idea what they're talking about. fuck this post. it's bullshit.
