He watched her, curiosity burning in his gaze. He raised a brow at her words. Trust her? how could he? he didn't trust a living soul anymore... or an undead soul for that matter. Trust you huh? He spoke silently through telepathy, letting his sceptimism through. But he followed her slowly into the light, eyes closed, waiting for his flesh to burn. When nothing happened, he slowly opened his eyes, and found himself blinking in the bright morning sunshine. A breath he didn't realise he'd been holding wooshed out in relief. He wasn't dead, not yet anyway. Things could be worse. Afterall, he could be alone still, looking into the sunrise, and catching afire. WIthout a word, he slipped his arms around Dezz's waist, pulling her back against his front. Relaxing, he lay his chin on the top of her head, soaking in the feelings of contentment, however fleeting they may turn out to be.
