 She nodded. The condition would have to suffice for now; there wasn't a whole lot to do other than leave the door open and air the place out for a while.

Rilo meandered around the appartment's main area inspecting the furniture left behind. A tv set was good. "Hey you, does it work?" She motioned to the appliance with a nod of her head. When was the last time she had watched the tellly without it being storefront? Too long. Speaking of which, a shower would be a good idea at some point. She walked around the room's perimeter looking for a bathroom.

The "powder room" as some call it was tiny and cramped. The tile was dirty and a mildewy shower curtain hung limply from its rack. Gross. The water was even better. When turned on, the faucet spewed brown water stagnant from lying in pipes. Mmm. Eventually it would wash out clear, so she left it on.

Rilo stuck her head out of the door way. "Got any cash?"
