With a grunt the mare got to her feet, nudging at the foal, cleaning it off. She nudged at it, trying to help it get up and nurse, weary herself. She smiled up at her stallion. (What color is he?)

(ok, since she's silverish, and he's gray, the foal will be gray. Filly or colt?)

The mare watches, smiling, as she foal struggled. First two feet went on the ground, then finally, the foal's hindquarters lifted off the ground. it fell once, but was quicker to get up, and went on shaky legs to nurse. She looked at ice, watching to see if he approved of the foal.

(ok, I'll make it a colt)

The colt stopped nursing for a second, licking at the milk that was on it's muzzle. He looked up at his father curiously, tilting it's head, then it went back to nursing. Mist looked at her mate nervously now, hoping he liked the colt. Otherwise he might ignore it and just wait for her to come into heat again, and she'd have to protect it herself.
