If wolves could cry, tears would be staining his cheeks, but he didnt even give a whimper to show how he felt. "I know she wouldnt; but I feel like its my duty to avenge her death somehow." He turned his attention back to the den. "Are there any wolves in there apart from him? And how big is he, would you say?" He sighed, wishing he knew what kind of opponent he would be up against. Allthough he looked as if he was simply looking in one spot and open to attack in all other areas, all senses were acute and on the lookout.

He had seemed patient, simply slipping to and fro closer to Teelar, until he started breeding Tar. Letting out a yowl of anger he leapt forward, aiming a pounce at Teelar's back. Apon making contact, he immediately scrambled forward, trying to knock Teelar off Tar and get to his throat.

Teelar was younger, yes, but he was just as strong, muscles rippling under the silky black pelt as he tried to push Teelar down. He felt Teelar's teeth brush his shoulder, and he snapped his head back, then lunged around in a half-circle, hoping to make Teelar fall. After all; Teelar's body had been pushing against his too, and what was to stop him if the thing he was pushing against disappeared?

Shadow felt pain searing through him as Teelar got a hold onto the nape of his neck, but it gave him the perfect opportunity. Shifting around under Teelar, the loose skin of his neck being pulled back by Teelar's teeth, then lunged forward with alarming speed and sunk his teeth into Teelar's front leg, feeling his razor-sharp canines peirce the flesh.
