The silver male prowled the land, watching carefully. He was full grown now, even if he hadn't filled out all thw way. He was strong and well muscled, but had a thicker body than his father's sleek one. One of his friends had almost been taken by a male yesterday, and since they were all near mating, he wanted to gurad against other males.

He heard the others howling. It was breeding season for most of the females at home. They couldn't waste time with this one. "You're lucky female. We have to let you go, or we'll miss out on the real she-wolves. Fine, then. Have your way with her male, kill her for all i care, but if either of you come near our land, you'll be killed." He walked off towards his land.
