As before, I'm not going to be drawn into question guessing.
However, I do want to say a couple of things about your ideas in a general sort of way.

Firstly, I don't think it's a good idea to try as you have done to pre-guess questions in the detailed way you have (your early/late split idea). It IS true that the examiners try to parallel the questions, and that they will ask in one what they didn't in the other, but you can't rely on them doing it in the way you suspect - so it is better just to revise everything and be ready for anything.

Secondly, every paper has very specific rules about which questions you are allowed to answer and which permutations you can choose, so be VERY careful that you have checked with your teacher just exactly what you can and can't do. I teach AQA syllabus B, for example, and I suggest you talk with your teacher to sort out tactics before the exam. (I am dying to say more, but you know my policy on this kind of question).

Thirdly, the pitfalls:
1. Always before you start to answer the question stop to think: 'Now what exactly is this question asking?'
2. If it is a sourcework question, make sure you answer the question (see <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.johndclare.net/how_to_do_sourcework.htm)">http://www.johndclare.net/how_to_do_sourcework.htm)</a> and MAKE SURE you mention both the source and your own knowledge in your answer.
3. If it is an essay question, make sure you answer the question (see <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.johndclare.net/how_to_write_an_essay.htm)">http://www.johndclare.net/how_to_write_an_essay.htm)</a> and - for this paper - MAKE SURE you mention both the sources mewntioned on the question paper and your own knowledge in your answer. (On this paper, even if you find you can't remember much about what they are asking you, you can usually cobble together some kind of essay by using what they have told you through the sources. But even if you know LOADS, you should always also mention the sources in the exam paper)
4. Get the timing right (<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.johndclare.net/how_to_time_an_exam.htm)">http://www.johndclare.net/how_to_time_an_exam.htm)</a>
5. Always start your answer by mentioning the gist of the question in the first sentence.
6. Best of luck!!!
