I just don't understand your logic "appeasment was wrong" you say? I do understand where you are coming from but if you think about we wern't ready for a head on confrontation. We had about one Camel in each Air base practically and less men than you could shake a stick at! If you really think that we could have taken on an unknown enemy with an Unknown army size with the measly forces we had at the beggining then you really do have a screw loose. Did you not listen to what Chamberlain had to say? He said " Why should we get caught up in a quarrel ina far away country between people we know nothing about." Shouldn't this one quote sum the whole thing up? Chamberlain didn't wan t a war and the people of the country didn't want a war. NONE of these countries owed alligence to us and I can't recal us ever letting ourselves be part of other countries disputes apart from with Poland in 1939. Do you want me to carry on?
