Why would you want another 1914 war. Two pathetically armed armies metting aroundabout the Franco-Prussian border and slogging it out for a few dozen years. Appeasement gave us time to get our act together, make it look like we were trying to keep the peace and please the population of Britain. If you want to blame someone for the Second World War, blame France, they have a land border with the Reich and could have stopped the Rhineland incident. Personally, I agree with Chamberlain. No point in getting involved with Johnny Foreigner's business when we are hundreds of miles away. Chamberlain rules! (and so does Ozzy Osbourne).
