I think it's a bit much to suggest that Hitler was APPEASING Britain - surely it was the other way round.
Chamberlian may have dragged a promise out of Hitler at Munich, but that was ALL he got.
All the giving, really, was Britain's.
Hitler was the aggressor, not the appeaser.
