I seem to remember four "made for TV" movies after the Emergency! series ended. The four scenarios I recall are a plane crash which destroys the squad, a high-rise fire in L.A., a ferry fire in Seattle and a wharf fire in San Francisco. Perhaps some of the these incidents were in the same movie. Can anyone help me sort these out?

If anyone has problems accessing Tripod sites, be it Emergency or any other non E! related site, it is because someone has been hacking. My friend Rose lost not only her Tim Donnelly site but Dale Earnhardt site too. She is just sick about this. Myself, I lost at least 15 pages of my Marco site, as well as my Pinkard Project as well as tribute to Vince Howard. I cannot believe that someone would get their jollies out of hacking into a website host & destroy someones months of work all within a minute!

HOWEVER, when this thing blows over & everything is back to normal, I WILL re add all my suealien pages back on Tripod!

Okay, we see the pilot regularly as a memory, while Johnny and Roy sit at the kitchen table reminiscing...but when was the last time the pilot ever ran as a stand alone movie. It's been a very, very long time. I recall there was a little bit more to it (not much more)in it's full version. I know it's available through Columbia House's website in the U.S...but they won't deal with Canadians on their site. As soon as you type in your home address trying to buy it, the site automatically sends you to their Canadian site... WHICH DOESN'T HAVE A COPY!!!

Just thinking. If the producers of Emergency! were paying attention to the net, they'd know that there's zillions if not thousands of Emergency! fans out there that would be glued to the TV Saturday nights at 7 if they were to revisit the series. But, would an updated version work? Johnny and Roy became Captains at the end of the series, so it stands to reason that at least one of them (Roy) would be a Battallion Chief by now. Wouldn't that be a terrific premise for Emergency - The Next Generation. These days, from what I understand, there ARE Paramedics on the LACoFD engines, so that would open up the possibility of both of them still being able to do the old job, plus now we'd get to see the older more mature side of Johnny...Roy wouldn't likely have changed other than looking a few years older, since he was always pretty mature. The show could be based at 51, maybe the Squad could be one of those new 4 door jobs I saw in a pic on another web site. Harbour UCLA could still pose for Rampart...and even it's been revamped over the years. Who else thinks has possibilities?

I was thinking about that. Kids don't have many hero's like Roy and Johnny anymore. "E!" was a show that was clean. It mentioned God. It showed kids that people should be decent.The only decent show now is Touched By An Angel. I wish there were more like "E!"

Hey E! Fans. I found a new show on the tube last weekend, that you're going to love...it's called In A Heartbeat. In Canada it's airing Sunday nights on Family Channel @ 8:30 pm. Basically it's ER meets Dawson's Creek...but with a little touch of Emergency! It's a story of an experimental Paramedic Program, where the young hero's seem to always be on call, and things like being on date take second place to coming to the rescue in their small town. I was up late watching tv the other night, after Emergency! ended on The New VR, another episode came on over on The New PL, (Can you tell those two stations are owned by the same company?) So that ends...now there's no more E! on for the night, so I click over to the TV Guide channel and see that "CHiPs" is on TBS. Yikes! I haven't seen that in years. Guess what? I got another E! fix...well sort of... Jon and Ponch must've been on a stretch of freeway in L.A. County...because the rescue vehicle that responded to their accident scene was none other than Squad 51! Didn't show who the pm's were...so no cameo's, but it gave me a grin just the same.

I recently discovered EMERGENCY! on the web and have been enjoying some of the Fanfiction stories. I only read the stories that portray the characters the way they were in the TV series. I love the TV characters...
So, anybody got a favorite EMERGENCY! Fanfiction site that has stories which keep the guys IN CHARACTER?
I have no desire to read about complete strangers.

Okay. Last night I saw a rare episode where the Captain wasn't Hammer or Stanley - and he wasn't the old goof who hated Paramedics - and it wasn't Captain Hook-raider either. So who was this guy? I can tell you about the episode, maybe it'll give your memory a jog. It was the one where Johnny was all obsessed with how the Adam-12 episode, they were in the middle of when they got a call, ended. This guy had absolutely no pizazz...he was about as exciting as watching paint dry...but who was he. Definitely their Captain, because their was no mention of him filling in or anything. I assume it was the episode between Hammer leaving and Stanley coming on board. Hmmmm.

of ER. Dr. Carter was stabbed by a Psycho and his collegae
was also stabbed. I wasn't paying attention due to the
fact that they are rerunning the show in de after 0.00 slot.
Carter I saw return in further episodes, but what happened

I noticed when i was watching Emergency A '73 Ford Ambulance would arrive at the scene and when en route to Rampart It was A 71 OR 72 Chevy what happened did it getstolen? and in either 74-75 season or 75 76 a 63 Chevorlet ambulance appeared out of the blue and crashed with johnny and roy in it and then they had to get Engine 51 to take the victim to Rampart Well did all the Ambulances get impounded? In the early shows a CADILlAC was used.

I got the Code 3 station 51 yesterday, and it's beutiful! There's nothing inside, but you can't lift off the top or anything, so it doesn't reallly matter. You can open the doors though. I love it!

Let's compare notes...
Did anyone ever notice that there was a file footage Squad used in street scenes, usually filmed from the passenger seat of the engine, that was not a 72-74 Dodge? Probably an old Fargo...and ugly, too.
Who noticed that the older Dixie got, the younger she looked?
How come after years of thinking that Roy was straight as an arrow, short hair, no rock music, no marijuana...that they drop the bomb on us during one of the last post series movies that he was actually cool and understood art films and Playboy Magazine?
Who noticed that when the ambulance crashed with Roy inside, Johnny responded to the accident, cancelling the originally dispatched unit {not knowing it was Roy or the Ambulance} just because he was close enough - even though he wouldn't have been able to do anything but standard first aid, since the drug box and bio-phone weren't in the Squad...they were with Roy in the Ambulance!
And, did anyone notice that in Santa Rosa County, the Sheriff, understanding that the clinic wouldn't be open, let the boys in by smashing the window and reaching inside to unlock the door...but he never tried the handle to check if the door was actually locked! oops.

Well, I've come out of "lurking" for a while to say hello. I've actually been very occupied with switching IP's and the end of school with tons of band rehersals, so this might be my last message till June. I usually only check my e-mail and newsgroups when I do get on and if any of you have newsgroups that average 100+ messages a day, you know the feeling. This is just to say I haven't died-just been preoccupied!!

Okay, maybe the bad-eggs won't come back. Following a complaint e-mailed to me that weekend postings don't go up until the following Monday, I've decided that I won't go the moderation route after all. Weekends are family time for me and I don't, as a rule, even turn on the computer. So let's give it another try. I hope this eventually becomes one of the more popular E! forums on the net. I however, will not tolerate any sort of nonsense like SueAlien is reporting, regarding the posting of Marco Lopez's home address. This site is being run informally at the moment, but I will, without notice, begin managing all entries on a case by case basis, allowing nothing to be posted until after I've approved it. I don't want this to happen, because I believe it takes away from the fun of an open forum. But I will do it, if it becomes necessary to protect people from harassment.

What was the best Hospital fire? Was it when the wartime buildings that were once the hospital burned to the ground? Or howabout when there was a room fire and Johnny had to push Mike Morton the heck out of the way so that he could put it out before it would spread? How about the last one, when the laboratory in the basement blew up? I think that was the most dramatic...since it was the series finale and we weren't sure, but for a few minutes during the commercial break...they might have offed Dixie! (Scared the hell out of me!) I think my favourite was the one I mentioned off the top. Morton and Dix were just discussing the fact that he (Morton) had checked the books and Boot's temperature wasn't abnormally high for a dog...then...BOOOM!
I LOVED that one!

I was on The "E!" inteviews site (http://e51interviews.tripod.com/index.html) and in one of the interviews they asked a question and said it was due to a producer (that was in the question, not the answer.). Ever notice that after about the first two years, the dialogue became less like acting and started to seem like Johnny and Roy were having REAL conversations. Maybe Randy and Kevin had become so comfortable with their roles that Johnny and Roy actually became part of them...but they seemed, about the time Randy let his hair get out of control, to be more than believable, downright real. They really mastered their roles.

Ok, so Pete Malloy and Jim Reed from Adam-12 do a cameo in the Emergency! pilot. Later in the series, Johnny and Roy do a cameo on Adam-12, as Squad 51 joins in the search for missing children (I never actually saw that one). So... isn't it interesting on one episode, how Johnny is worried about missing Adam-12...because he doesn't want to wait until summer reruns to find out how it ends?

One of my favourite pass times when watching E! anymore, (because I know each episode so well, that I can lip sync the scripts)is to look for continuity errors. The most regular goof up is in the out of date stock footage used as the Squad comes and goes from Station 51...and the Crown is sitting there...even though it's been long since replaced by the Ward LaFrance. I also can't help noticing every time Engine 8 (which may or may not actually be the old Crown that was once Engine 51)leaves the station following the episode where Johnny worked an overtime shift there...if you look close, you can see Johnny riding in the right rear seat...but how could that be, since he's already on scene, having arrived in the Squad. Or, remember the first time the Ward LaFrance went on a run? Johnny and Roy rode along on the back...it's the only time it happened in the whole series...but the footage got used over and over. The boys will call for the Engine to respond to their location, and the stock footage of Engine 51 leaving the station will quite often be with the boys riding the back. Or how many times have you seen footage some old piece of crap Fargo Squad mixed into an en route sequence. At first I thought it was Squad 10 from the pilot episode...since it was the same model...but Squad 10 in the pilot had a simply flashing light set up on the roof, while the one that's being used in error on these scenes has a light bar. It's likely footage of an actual LACoFD Paramedic Squad.
