I am finding leaving school so strange. Now I know plenty of people have strong negative views on Denmark road and I dare say that most of the accusations about it are true. I'll admit I havent had all that great a time there. But it is my school, my year and my friends. And whatever I feel about them personally I still feel the need to grieve in a way. Although at the moment, I havent really felt ready to cry or imagine life without all those people surrounding me day in day out.
Tim was so upset at the tommies prom last night that I was startled and really really moved. Ive never seen him, or even any other man express that sort of emotion. And I was a bit selfish that evening too so I wanna say sorry for being a rat bag when we got home Tim.
I have no idea how to respond yet to finishing 6th form. I feel numb and quite lonely, but the strong emotional feelings seem to have bypassed me this week, which is strange since I am usually such a sensitive person. I imagine the very last day i.e. when we pick up our grades in august, I will be very upset and regretful that I didnt appreciate Denmark more. Does anyone else have regrets about what they wish they had done / said?
