Common sense purports that if you haven't got any left-footed players in your team, you try to minimise the problem as much as possible. This can only be done by using wingbacks, so you only have to find a left-footed player to fill one position instead of two. What use is it to England to play 4-4-2?
This is why I think Wayne Bridge should start, because he can put in a tackle and goes like shit off a shovel. Ashley Cole cannot tackle, cannot dribble, and cannot cross, but he plays for Arsenal, so hey, he must be good! (Oleg Luzhny, anyone??)
Kieron Dyer is two-footed and has played on the right hand side for Newcastle this season, but he's not as good as Bridge down the left, so he slots in on the right.

But to address the real issue, it's a fact that Eriksson will play with a full back and a winger, so who would you put down the two left flanks? I'm guessing Ashley Cole would be your full back (you don't like Bridge) but who on the wing? Surely not Heskey?
