Like Hetfield once sang, It's 'sad but true.' We probably will go to war... if not next week, next month, or next year... etc. All I can say that when it comes down to the upshot of the situation, I hope all the anti-war sentiments turn into at least some form of patriotic support for our country. This is not about protecting the people from Communism, but from mass destruction.

Does anyone really think dictators like Iraq's or North Korea's will simply stop when they've become as nuclear, biologically, or chemically capable as the US? Their past shows that invasion is just the next step after acquiring the means to do so. ...and don't think for a second that they won't find the means - either from the extrememly wealthy countries like Saudi Arabia or the black market selling almost anything to the highest bidder.

The US on the other hand, though imperfect as any human being, has gone in and then left. We never conquer, annex, invade, or in anyway adopt a permanent imperialistic attitude towards the rest of the world. We learn from our mistakes.. although it sometimes takes repeating those mistakes 1, 2, or 3 times over, we learn!

The war with Iraq has been a long time in the making. For that matter, the war with the Middle East has been a given as well. They have become what the Far East once was when it came to progress. Stagnant. No tolerance for any kind of change whether it be in their country or another. According to some Middle Eastern extremists, the world is only big enough for them. Even though the greatest argument seems to be that we should solve our own problems first, dedicating all our resources to that would be like declaring martial law. Most people here already understand what progress and advancement mean and how necessary they are. Common sense dictates that we do onto others as we'd have done to ourselves. If terrible things are happening to people in other countries and we have the means to stop them - or even to begin a process to change those ways, then why the hell shouldn't we?!

Anyway, don't mind me, just sharing a piece of my mind.

Nooch!
