When is the federal government and the court system going to realize that in a democracy, it is by the people. Yet, you see constantly with numerous issues the courts or a few federal officials are trying to force people to follow them, without the people's premission. Correct me if I am wrong; but in a democracy, it is suppose to be of the people, for the people and by the people. This basic rule means that the people are to decide what ethnical laws; whether it deals with gun control, legalization of drugs or even other pressing issues. Each of these issues should be taken to the people of the nation, in the way of a National vote. Then, what the people decide should be done. With that said, the rights of the courts and government to suspend people's rights within the Charter of Rights and Freedoms should also be put to the people. Once again, if the people vote to continue with no checks or balances against an authorian government, then only the people are to blame if this happens. Still in a democracy at least the people had the right to vote for it. So, remember, democracy is meant for the people, not the few.
