Hi,
I am 22yrs old 4yrs or college at Penn State going into my 5th yr and live in Pa... I have been a nanny for 3 girls for 3 1/2yrs starting at 10hr. I started when the oldest was in my childcare toddler class and then had the other 2 when there were just a couple days old and started with this family full time. This is my first time nanny or personal assistant household manager position and I feel that my pay is unfair. After a yr and 1/2 I begged for a 5 dollar raise since my responsibilities piled on quickly. She refused and said she would give me a $2.50 raise and talk about another raise in 6months... 6months later she never said anything and I brought it up and she said no... now its 2 yrs later and I am being paid $12.50 hr working from 7:30am -6pm... shes always late, I get here at 730 make sure they ate (during the school year get the oldest,4yrs old) to pre-K and the middle 3yrs old to preschool for 3hrs and then I have the youngest 2yrs old all day. I pick them up give them lunch bath them... take them to activities (swimming practice and I have to get in the pool and shower them at the club). Dinner, wash for whole family of 5, light cleaning, mommy and me classes when asked to take them, come up with activites in the summer for all three, swim club, dishs, light errands, organization of home, bathing, & mothers personal assistant. PLEASE help me.... I dont know what else to do... and I have looked for different jobs but they just dont fit my budget or my schedule.... I wanted to know what I should be making and how else to go about demanding what I am worth
