Steve, you have ... issues. Big issues. I have totally no desire to email you, because if you're this vicious in public, the mind boggles to imagine what you'd come up with in private.

(Anyway, you're still one response up on me. My first message was to everyone, not just you. Nyeah.)

I never called you any names, and yet you've done so to me. I'm very sorry that you're unable to react with any measure of respect or even good humor. Where exactly you got the phrase "tight-assed" is beyond me. How could you possibly take the phrase "unclench" seriously? This, to you, is vitriol on the level of calling me an insecure twit?

I joined in using a calm, friendly and yes, sarcastic tone -- because that's how you all speak. If you can't stand a little tweak on that level .... (shrugs) Sorry if I misunderstood the friendliness of this forum. At least TechnoAtheist responded in the same manner as I posted -- casual, thoughtful and with humor. I think we had a good conversation going, in fact.

Why instead you're overreacting with such hostility is beyond me, but okay, fine. Re: the Eppys, it's *your* responsibility as a submitter to make sure your entries got to us. If I didn't acknowledge receipt, it's quite likely I didn't get your submission. Ever think of that? Or no, I suppose it HAS to be a conspiracy. Right. Because after all, you're my arch nemesis whom I must crush in my despotic hands. Of course!

No one else seems to have had a similar problem, at least I haven't heard of anyone telling me they submitted something without acknowledgement. Why on earth do you think you, alone, would be excluded? What would be the point?

BTW, to everyone, I should clarify the recaps area of the Eppy, since Steve doesn't seem to get it, and perhaps others don't either. It is entirely up to the producers to submit recaps for their work. It has always been a user-submitted area. So whoever wishes to participate in that, whether they've ever posted at the Episodic Forum or not, is absolutely welcome. I don't care if you've "signed up" at the forum.

Y'know, I'm not getting any money for each registration, or in fact, for anything having to do with the Episodic. I couldn't care less if you register or not, if you post or not. But I do want more people to take part, because frankly I think it's a more interesting place with lots of people. Why I'm "lazy" because I need help in pulling together a community is beyond my ken. Yes, I do require input from you producers. Gee, sorry if I can't singlehandedly do every single thing in order to develop a Episodic Community. Why the heck should I have to? What do I get out of it? Money? Nope. Glory? Hardly. Fame? Shyeah. Angst and personal attacks? Ding Ding Ding! There ya go!

Sigh. To Jim I say, I'm sorry to waste your time and forum space. It's just that you guys brought up the Episodic here at your forum, and I honestly see no problem with my joining in the conversation and responding to your gentle snarking against the Episodic in kind, ESPECIALLY since I'm inviting you guys to take part in the Eppy and help make it a more lively, interesting, well-rounded site as you seemed to want it to be.

Despite what Steve here has said, anyone who's seen my posts at the Forum since April 2001 (when I took over as editor) should have seen my many, many requests for inforamtion and invitations to other genres to join in. I don't think of the Eppy as "MY" domain. It has always been a site whose strength is driven from its community, tiny or not. Like it or not, it's what we all make it.

Again, apologies. I shouldn't have arrived. Ignore me if you want to!
