Time for students to scramble for a passing mark on final exams, time for cleaning up the leaves that are still on your lawn from last fall, time for the horrible hole in the sky that has the giant, greasy, glowing lemon behind it(The sun) to return from its long winter sleep to suck the heat from the earth and the sweat from our bodies, time for plotting and planning. Ahh... yes, I remember a June not long ago, it was a fine time, my passage into manhood, it was. I'll never forget the moment my father gave me the ceremonial dagger to plunge into the sacrificial virgin. Elise, I think her name was, we had talked, and had become good friends, Elise and I, but she was never quite the same after I stabbed her to death and offered her blood as a sacrifice to the blood gods...
