Subject: How Do I Tell if it's a Cavitiy or Pain from Braces?

I noticed that when I bite down on things (even very soft food like pasta), my right back molar hurts. This molar has a filling on it already. I currently have a band on that tooth also. I also just got my first tightening yesterday. Started noticing this pain today.

I'm a lil concerned it might be a cavity, but how do I tell? When I bite it's like a slight sharp pain down the middle of my tooth. Not a tender kinda pain. Can it still be a cavity even tho this tooth is already filled?
